Hourly rates based on project complexity
1. Basic Cleanup – $25/hr
Light adjustments to restore clarity and color to well-preserved photos.
Includes:
– Dust and scratch removal
– Brightness & contrast correction
– Basic cropping and alignment
– Mild color correction
Estimated Time: 15-30 minutes ($10-$15 per image)
2. Standard Retouching – $45/hr
Great for restoring lightly damaged or faded images.
Includes everything in Basic, plus:
– Moderate fade correction
– Skin smoothing, wrinkle reduction
– Background cleanup
– Minor blemish or stain removal
– Color enhancement
Estimated Time: 30-60 minutes ($20-$35 per image)
3. Full Restoration – $65/hr
Ideal for torn, cracked, water-damaged, or heavily faded images.
Includes everything above, plus:
– Repair of torn, missing, or folded areas
– Heavy color reconstruction
– Detail reconstruction (clothing, backgrounds, faces)
– Removal of stains, tape, ink, or mold damage
Estimated Time: 1-2+ hours ($65-$130 per image)

Which Scan Type Is Right for You?
At Photographic Solutions Visual Arts, we offer different scanning options to fit your needs:
- Scan for I-net:
- Designed for online use, this option delivers lower-resolution JPEG files ideal for websites, social media, and email sharing. It’s a great choice if you want to preserve and share your memories digitally but don’t need high-quality prints.
- Standard Scan:
- A higher resolution scan suitable for general use, including personal archiving, slideshows, and small reprints. Files can be delivered as JPEGs or TIFFs depending on your preference.
- Archival Scan:
- For clients who want the best possible quality, our archival scans are ultra-high-resolution, perfect for enlargements, professional reprints, or long-term preservation. Includes full color correction and delivery in TIFF format for maximum quality.

Terms & Conditions for Scanning Services
- Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from drop-off/delivery.
Rush service is available for an additional 25% fee.
- File Delivery
Files are delivered via secure cloud link or USB/drive. - Image Handling
All materials are handled with care. However, Photographic Solutions Visual Arts is not liable for damage to fragile, deteriorated, or irreplaceable originals. Client is responsible for ensuring proper packaging when mailing items. - Resolution & Output
The client is responsible for confirming the desired scan resolution.
Rescans due to client oversight (wrong resolution/file type) may incur a reprocessing fee.
- Color Correction & Editing
Basic correction and dust/scratch removal are optional services.
Restoration and advanced retouching are billed hourly at $20/hr.
All edits are subjective and based on visual improvement unless otherwise specified.
- Copyright Responsibility
Clients must own or have permission to reproduce any scanned material.
Photographic Solutions Visual Arts assumes no responsibility for copyright violations.
- Payment Terms
Full payment is due upon completion/delivery.
Accepted payment methods: [cash, card, Venmo, etc.]
A deposit may be required for large orders or custom jobs.
- Storage & File Retention
Scanned files are retained for 7 days unless otherwise agreed upon.
After that, files will be deleted from our system unless storage services are purchased.
- Liability Disclaimer
While all reasonable care is taken, liability for loss or damage is limited to the cost of the scanning service provided, not the replacement value of the original items. - Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations must be made before scanning begins for a full refund.
No refunds once scanning has started or files have been delivered.
